“Swim and Explore” is a sensory-based swimming experience that is EXCLUSIVE to Swim Experts. It is designed as an opportunity to gather in the pool with your little one and other friends to bond and continue to practice and develop the skills that you are working on in your lessons.

Our one-of-a-kind, water-based playgroup is particularly beneficial for infants, supporting multiple aspects of their early development. Physically, water’s natural buoyancy allows babies to move freely, helping to develop their motor skills more effectively than they might on land. This freedom not only strengthens their muscles but also enhances their coordination and balance. Cognitively, the interaction with water provides a wide range of new sensory experiences. The feel of water, combined with its sounds, sights, and the fun of splashing, stimulates their senses, boosting cognitive development and fostering a sense of curiosity and exploration. Emotionally and socially, these playgroups encourage babies to start interacting with their peers early in life and promotes skin-to-skin contact with their trusted big people (adults). Participating in group activities in the water gives them opportunities to socialize and engage, which is crucial for developing emotional intelligence and social skills.

Swim and Explore is a 45-minute session with a range of activities set up around the pool for you to work through and practice. One of our skilled educators is in the water at all times to guide and assist, but this is not a “Lesson”. Swim and Explore is NOT a free play session as we are not a public pool. Participants in this class are guided by the activities for each week.

Swim and Explore is a weekday-only program that runs on a Monday and Friday (12:30pm-1:15pm) with a limited participant number per session.

Participants are considered to be Members of the swim school, and must be between ages of 2 months and 2.5 years only.

“Swim and Explore” Playgroup, is booked in blocks of 8 weeks at a cost of $80.00 per student.  **Enrolment fee of $35.00 is applicable for all new enrolments and our mandatory Happy Nappy policy applies to all of our programs including Playgroup sessions.

Casual bookings MAY be accepted if there are vacant positions in the group, at a cost of $12.00 per session.

“Swim and Explore” Playgroup, is booked  in 8 week blocks through the Customer Portal.

• Approved swimwear must be worn in the pool, and all babies MUST wear a Little Toggs Happy Nappy swim nappy. No other nappies are permitted in the pool under any circumstances.
• Adults entering the pool MUST wear a rash top, as well as swimwear. No streetwear/underwear/activewear is permitted in the pool. Entry will be refused to those not in appropriate swim attire.
• Children MUST be always accompanied in the water by an adult carer (over the age of 18)
• The maximum swim time in “Splash and Explore Playgroup” is 45 minutes.
• This is NOT a swimming lesson. Splash and Explore is an opportunity to work through activities set up around the pool to practice skills being learned in our Mini’s classes.
• Free play is not permitted as this is not a public pool. Families not adhering to instructions or being unsafe will be asked to leave the pool and will not be permitted to further participate in this program.
• Casual bookings MAY be accepted if there is availability in a block.
• Makeup lessons are not available to Playgroup sessions if you do not attend your booked session.
• Makeup tokens from mainstream classes cannot be utilised in Playgroup sessions.
• “Swim and Explore Playgroup” is available to children between the ages of 8 weeks and 2.5 years old only.
• As there are a limited number of positions available, bookings are considered final to ensure that families who miss out on bookings are not disadvantaged.
• We do not allow overbooking for this program. 
• 2 “no shows” will result in removal from the playgroup.
• $35.00 enrolment fee is mandatory for all new enrolments.
